I've only recently heard of this game from a member in another forum I signed up to. Made by Westwood, I think. Never played it, though. Just wondering if this game came out before or after Command & Conquer?

It's about the Tiberian Sun Era. IIRC, Nox was from March 1999 while Tiberian Sun was from September.
I had lots of fun with this game. It isn't overtly complex, nor is it very deep. But you can interact with almost any object and the world is beautifully renderend, I think. The dialogues contain a lot of humor too.
It's one of those RPG-lights that combine stats with playerskills to determine how effective your character is.

The whole kill the foozle thing has been beaten to death in RPGs. The only nice thing about this game was playing thru and using some magic. But around the end, the whole thing turned into a mess of being able to survive the monsters.

It's true, it required some skill and insight to get through as a caster. While I won't defend its backgroundstory, I have to say that gameplay wise, it was at least something different with all the interactive items. (We're talking 1999 here, remember?)
