Game bug?

After talking to the Vampire, the floor crumbles and you fall into a maze below. I was carrying too much equipment and used a gate scroll to go back to the Gnomes. I tried to go back to the room in the castle, fall back into the hole and continue the story, but it won't let me. Am I stuck? I can't seem to continue the game and find the key to let the Gnome out of the cell. I'm trying to be vague enough so that I'm not spoiling anything, but descriptive enough so that someone who has been there will know what I'm talking about.

I really don't feel like starting over...


How do I get back into the maze?

You should gate scroll again. The gate scroll thing is annoying in CoN because it makes you think you have to use up a scroll every time. You actually get to gate out and back on one scroll, though, just like the potions of recall in BGDA.

Baeden, how do you do this? Is there something I'm missing? I've been using a scroll to return to the stores and a scroll to return back to where I was...

Yea if you used a gate scroll to get out then just gate scroll back in. Otherwise you can just go up to where u fell and a box should appear saying press square to enter the dungeon or something like that.

How do I get back into the maze?

If you have left the 'town' bit your return option on the scroll is forfeited (this is clear when you see a 'loading' screen). So after you visited the gnome - store you found your way back to the castle (several 'loading' as I remember). The game thinks you have found your way out the hole and you cannot fall back into the hole again.
This is unfortunate and you have to reload to the last save point. Before falling through the hole.
