Does Nightmare really exist?

Will someone please tell me how to access the nightmare difficulty level? I'm at a loss on how to get that going.

Nightmare Level Cheat

well, this is the cheat that i found which makes reference to Nightmare Level...i make no gaurantees to it however as i've only had the X-Box for like 2 days and this cheat for about 20 minutes. good luck with it:

Get the cheat screen by pressing L + Y + A. Now enter the code MPS LABS to access Nightmare Difficulty.

I suppose you need to clear the game at the hardest difficulty level to gain access to Nightmare... Don't know for sure, won't try myself.

nightmare level

No, my little brother told me about cheatplanet.com. So, you can access the nightmare level and the cheat screen at any time during your game. In fact, you can start a character off with levels of 60,70,80,100 with varies cheats i.e. XP, tomes, money constitution cheats

But there's a non-cheating way of unlocking nightmare too, no?

not sure

I've finished the game without cheating, but was unable to play in nightmare mode. I finished game on normal, so maybe if you play the harder level and finish the game it will unlock.

I already beat the game on the hardest level, since I only play games on the hardest setting available. I collected all 20 Soul Shards, however Nightmare was not unlocked. The only theory I have, is possibly you must finish the game with all the character classes. I have only finished it with the fighter. If I have time, I will complete the game with all other characters and see if my idea works.

not sure

Try to beatthe game on the hardest setting and beat with all 4 classes or complete the game with 4 players on the hardest level setting.

Try this one...I've already finished the game with a Rogue suing the Nightmare cheat entry..(only cheat entered, BTW)

Almost through again with a Cleric....(Nightmare cheat entry only)

The monsters are not any tougher, but there's supposedly more of them...still not too bad...more fun, anyway...

I beat the game last night on easy and Nightmare was an option when I reloaded that character. I haven't cheated or anything. Just beat it on one-player. I'm going to replay it on Nightmare now. It still isn't very hard. Could be that I'm fighting spiders with a level 31 character though.
