Question Best Team

Just wanted to know what other people think is the best team on Baldurs Gate, my brother and myself think that it is a Necr (Bro), and barbarian (myself) is the best.

Who is the best team to you

Talking

Of course that is the best team, they are the two most overpowered characters in the game.

We played with Cleric/Barbarian, but my wife became bored with the cleric since the barb just walked through everything.

You are both wrong

Well I hate to burst your bubble but you are wrong, the two most overpowered chars are obviously Drizzt Do'Urden(the kickass hero from a lot of forgoten realms books) and his arch enemy Artemis Entreri(the evil assasin), you can get them by beating the game in one difficulty then beating it agian in the hardest difficulty, its not that hard(me and my friend did it in about 5 hours) then once you have the both of them you can select them by creating a new char and moving over to themax then down(the selector will stay in the same place but a new name will appear) they start fully equiped with Charon's claw for artemis and of course Twinkle and Iceingdeath for Drizzt, they each do about 60 dmg min so you will be doing somewhere around 300 dmg per hit

I'd disagree since they are stuck with those same weapons for the whole game, there is no opportunity to improve their damage. No way to enhance the weapons either. In the later acts, they become mediocre. The Barb and Necro are much better in my opinion.

yep

i also think that because they cant change there wepons this reduces the charicters gain over the game and espesialy coz the wepons they have arnt particualy any good also they dont have any spesesial story line that they follow i think my barb and my bros roge guy would kick there asses.

maybe not the most powerful but fun

necro and drow monk

Stunning blow combos great with the necro's enervation. When you deal with monsters that can't be stunned, use the necro's hold spell and have the monk beat stuff up.

Artemis and Drizzt

In response to "what do you mean they have no special story line?"

These guys follow the story of the game, but they do not have special quests, nor do they really fit in. They are pre-built heroes, they have skill points already assigned and weapons that can not change. They are not like the other characters in they do not have to struggle in the beginning of the game, and they become weaker by the end of the game (due to lack of weapon upgrades).

The lack of any special quests makes them not have a special story line.

On a side note, using the level warp cheat code to take characters to the special quest areas is pretty cool. And if you talk to the person that would normally give the quest, you get extra experience, even if you are not that character.
