15.5 hours

OK, so I bought it and beat it. Albeit on easy because I found the necromancer difficult to get going and cause it was my first time playing the game. But after you finish the side quest for Ysuran and get Summon Shadow and Shadow Strands, tactics are as follows: let the shadow get targeted, shoot shadow strands until everything is dead. It get's a little ridiculous. Well needless to say I beat the game in about 15.5 hours(at least I think that's how long it said before I saved over it with my extreme game). I'm only playing the extreme game cause I wanna see what the 2nd secret character is like, being as I've played with Drizzt in BGA and BGAII and he's nothing special(in extreme mode at least). Drizzt isn't too much fun since he's restricted to his two weapons(which are great but could be better), and his appearance doesn't change even if you adjust his armour. I just think 15.5 hours is a little short, and is the 2nd secret character worth getting?

Second Character

Considering you didn't like Drizzt, you won't like the second hidden character. I think you have to have read R.A. Salvatores books to appreciated the hidden characters. That is the only reason to get the hidden character, just to say that you played and Drizzt or Artemis. In case you don't know, Artemis is just a human version of Drizzt, only with different weapons and a few different skills.

I still say that you should finish the Extreme Mode because the game is actually a challange in that mode.

Under 16hours. That's a quick run. But dont forget there are 7playable characters. Most very different And you can make the game as hard as you want. (try not picking armor for your monk etc.)

challenge, that´s a nice way for saying "consuming healing potions faster than whale drinking water..."

Actually, do whales really drink, in the original meaning of the word?...

Anyway, you know what i mean

IDK if i have anyone beat or someone beat me, but i had beaten the game in 7 hours 49 minutes(2 days). This is do to learning some tactics from playing BGDA2 on my friends ps2 before i bought it on my xbox. But don't stop there, you havn't 'played' the game till you beat extreme mode.
