That's pretty much how I see it. Huzzah!

Much of the dislike for K2 seems to come from players who want the kind of "save the galaxy" story. I always preferred K2 for having that darker, deeper edge - though obviously the rushed finish gets in the way at points. The gameplay at the end is slightly repetitive, but the rest of the game makes up for it IMO.
