My trip through the game also included Jaheira and her romance. And somehow it got squirreled up in my game.

Check this out:

Sorcerer's Place - Baldur's Gate 2 Tips, Tricks & Hints (1/2)

The fourth entry from the top is "BG2: SoA Romancing Guide by Extremist". Click "Download" to initiate downloading the guide.

I used this guide to hold my hands, so to speak, through the last half of the romance. I leave no stone unturned in any game I play, and I wasn't about to miss out on the conclusion of any romance that I had already spent half the game progressing through.

This guide will tell you everything about each romance available in the vanilla game. It details what criteria initiates each romance, what would break it, and which points require certain triggers to happen before the romance continues (such as sleeping outdoor, for example). It even spells out each conversation, so you can track the progress of your romance.

Most importantly, it details what variables to check to determine if you're romance is hung up, and how to change these variables to fix it. Behind the scenes, the game keeps track of a giant list of variables, so that the game can keep track of things in your current game, like if the Jaheira romance is active, if it's time for the next romance conversation, which conversation is next, etc, etc. CLUA commands, used when you are in the game, are used to check and change these variables, if you find your game's romance is squirreled up.

This guide is obviously filled with romance spoilers, but can be minimized if you just read up to where your game's romance has progressed to. It's handy to have if you're constantly wondering if your game's romance is progressing as it should. And it's a good read if you're interested in knowing a little bit about how the game works.

I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...
