Strange flashbacks last night. I remembered how I spend a summer vacation at an Aunt's house close to the North Sea Coast with my brother, who knew how to 'operate' their Commodore. We didn't go to the beach much though. He spend most of our time playing Elite, and explaining to me how it worked (I was about 7 or 8) as I watched him play from a chair behind him. He didn't let me play though, and I think I didn't need to. When we got back I spend the first few weeks of school wrapped up in a fantasy world, trading goods and docking into space stations.
Elite is indisputably the best game I've never played.
