Chris Crawford has been playing the same horn for over 15 years, to no avail--because the Game Industry wants to create a small series of easily duplicated, quickly sold molds into which every idea and all energy can be poured. So it really doesn't matter what Cliff says (though I'm a big fan of both Democracy 2 and Kudos): the issue isn't genre busting. It's where the money's at.
