Well, it may depend on the way you approach the game
I do like RP, so i see no reason for just unmotivated killing. Few choices what are in quests seem just dumb ... All what attacks you give good points on kill, if you're not going for townsfolk killing i see no reason for. The only really effective thing to lessen your goodness is to bring somebody to that Chapel of Skorm.
