| For me, as a rule of thumb, I level only when I have to, as in if it's a battle that I can't win at my current level, I take them. With multiclass characters however, you have to periodically unsquat, looking at the experience charts, as not to go too far into one class.
I soloed the Goblin fortress with a level five character, so it is doable. It should be even easier if you have multiple ones.
