| You can be melee but still deal mostly elemental damage...thats what I was thinking. But you don't want 300 str using a staff I don't think haha. I haven't found good fire weapons yet but the Lykaeous Malleous and thunderbolt are great for lightning damage melee chars.
another thing weird about building around an element is that every item you have grants 100 resistance to fire but no other resist....
So you have like 500 fire resistance and negative 90 cold and lightning haha!
