I've gotten through the "Family Heirloom" quest twice now for the mercenary mode in BW and I didn't have the lvl 45 Undead Azunite hero either time. I did run into the lvl 45 in one of the deathmask frozen crypts on my first time through. I'm not quite there yet this time around.

Update: I completed the Burial Crypts and acquired the 4 death masks and I didn't run into a lvl 45 Undead Azunite Hero or Archer. I did run into one in the catacombs right before the boss fight with the Dark Wizard to free Eva.
