| i always use just the wands and equip myself with a bow so i can fire acid, ice and fire arrows as needed. wand of fire/lightning/cloudkill/frost are the 4 you need.
first give the demon the key. then, to begin with (i usually summon a couple of Mordy swords to keep the demon occupied but at your level i doubt it, unless u find a scroll. they are rare too and i'd rather memorize it) shoot a charge of cloudkill aimed at the center of the cage. run along the perimeter of the clouds without actually getting in when the demon chases you. its ok if the cloud damages you once or twice or the demon gets a hit once in a while.
depending on the form of the demon use your wands predominantly and arrows during the wand cool-off time. if i remember the sequence right, wand charge -> 2 arrows -> wand again and so on... i have seen the wand of frost and lightning, especially, to do considerably more damage and the cloudkill damage actually stacks up nicely.
I never had to drink more than 1 potion of healing from the cloudkill and demon hits that i take. this tactic has worked nicely for me always...  |
