| You can gain weapon proficiencies by finding the few trainers there are in the game. And they can only train you in select weapons after your character has gained sufficient experience in a particular class. How far are you into the game? If you're towards the beginning, I wouldn't bother too much about it. It will all become clear as you gain the ability to switch classes, and meet new people.
