Hellgate London is a fun game, and I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying it if it looks like a game they'd like to play.

My best advice, however, is to wait like a month or so if you're really worried about spending the money on the game. As stated previously the game does get very repetitive, and while farther into the game there are a few levels of unique textures, it's not nearly enough to hold a person for any extended period of time in my opinion.

Also the bugs in the game WERE quite significant, they have, for the most part, been resolved to a point where the game is at least playable with minor occasional irritations.

FSS has stated that they intend to add content regularly to the game, especially for subscribers, and as of yet I've no reason to doubt them, which is why I say you might want to wait a while before purchasing it. This will give you some time to review what sort of changes they make, and give you at least an idea of what to expect in the future.

IF FSS' grandiose claims for the level of updates they are expecting to make are true, then the game will likely evolve into something more than worthwhile.
