I have the same question but it concerns rather characters than items.
I have a 5 member party (tank, deru, taar, vix, amren) in the middle of elite in DS2 at the moment and have just also installed BW on my second pc to give it a try. Mostly to see who could complete my party the best if I shall covert my DS2 characters to BW (and since there are not many chars left to hire as my 6th in DS2 now).
And I am sort of confused about those new fistofstone and bloodassassin characters. I find them quite useless tbh. If one has a party consisting of tank, naturemage, combatmage + 3 ranged of what use are these hybrid characters? Seems to be fit for solo play or lets say 3 or maximum 4 man party imho. Would you agree?
Plus I have noticed some users complaining about their party being weakened after transition to BW so I am almost decided to finish my campaign in DS2 and start BW with a new party. If I pick one of the two new characters it would be mostly to avoid playing with exactly the same party as in DS2 I guess
