| Oh, well it doesn't have to be. At first I used two scimitars, until I got a shield, then I used either a scimitar/shield combo or a certain staff. It's all a matter of whether you need the extra AC and resistance boost or not. But the scimitar's frost damage goes through most protections, so it's nice against spellcasters too.
You have to follow the druid restrictions in regards to weapons.
