Yeah, those lava rocks ate my nerves like nothing else. That's why I always keep at least 2 of them in my inventory.
As you may have noticed, the locations with lava rocks are quite scarce. Have you tried looking in The Dredge? Also, make sure to check all the containers, lava rocks can sometimes be found there.
