The only problem I see with this idea, assuming it even came to fruition at some point, is that Bethesda is developing Fallout 3...... I suggest you check into the Fallout Community for their views on the way that game is progressing...
While I would dearly love to see a BG3 made, I honestly do not have the confidence that any gaming company presently in existence could pull it off. Or at least, I can't see anyone managing to successfully tap into everything that made BG2 the amazing game that it is.
I'd rather not see a BG3 made at all, then have a company like Bethsoft create it.
Maybe an indie developer, like
Planewalker Games could do it. Indeed, I suspect they'd do a great job, but I fear that any of the mainstream band of bandits would make a complete hash of anything they'd title "Baldur's Gate Three."
