| This is quite interesting indeed. Rabain mentioned Dispel Magic earlier. It "should" work but your mage or cleric that casts it needs to be at a level roughly equivalent (or higher) to what the wailing virgins are considered to be. I have used Dispel Magic successful each time I have gone through there though. Seems like my spell casters were usually around 12th to 14th level by that point IIRC.
Also I believe I had my cleric once use Exhaltation to get rid of it. Exhaltation is not a popular spell I know but this is one case that it comes in handy.
For a mage, or mage combo I would think that a Globe of Invulnerability (not the minor one) would work too since the Emotion family of spells is 4th level. Well for that matter so sould Anti-Magic Shell but since that is a 6th level spell IIRC a mage might not be high enough level at this point. Though if you only have 2 characters they might be.
