| Hmm, good points you brought up there. Flexibility and mobility could also have played a vital role as to why heavy armours and weapons were no longer in use. By that time period, the armour suit consist of a helmet, torso, arm piece and leggings only and it didn't cover the whole body. Not to mention how light they became by then.
