Also, in the dark side ending, you see Revan and Bastila on Korriban so even if he is still alive then I'm sure he wouldn't last long before Revan had him eliminated.
If light side then the entire Sith Academy would have been overun by Jedi and Republic soldiers once the entire Sith forces were near wiped out due to Bastila's Battle Meditation at the Star Forge and I doubt he would have surrendered so its safe to assume they would have killed him anyway.
