That's what I'm betting. | There is a module being developed for NWN2 that is based on the original idea for a BG3 game but as far as I am aware there is no BG3 game in development and it is highly unlikely that there will be in the near future (if at all) since Black Isle is no more and Bioware have moved onto the NWN franchise now and away from the BG franchise. So .... unless another game developer takes it on, I really doubt we will ever see a 3rd BG game.
