The reason why I asked that question was because Mammu mentioned that he got a technician to install DirectX 10 for him so I assumed that he isn't running Windows Vista because if he is running Windows Vista, he wouldn't have needed to get someone else to install DirectX 10 since it is bundled together with Windows Vista.

Have you tried any other games to see whether they are playable or not? Try to update your DirectX (
link) and see whether it will help or not.
