| Skill loss is somewhat random but it's always seemed to me to also be more or less related to the length of your sentence (usually only lose 1 point in 1 or 2 skills if I spend a day in prison for stealing some food, and once I lost about 10-12 points across 5 or 6 different skills for spending several hundred days in prison for multiple murders).
I'm assuming your major skills are all 100 and you're trying to lose points so you can level up more, in which case you can lose points faster doing a large number of short sentences than you can doing a small number of long sentences.
