When you say storyline ending you're talking about 1 quest among hundred of them, and thats no real ending, mostly because two things, first the rest of the universe will be the same as the one before the quest, and second, mmo publishers want you to keep playing, and giving an end kotor story is not a good strategy.
And about the features you mentioned, that has nothing to do with kotor and could be applied to galaxies mmo.
