I disagree, an MMO can have a storyline ending, then have it's main character (you) start expanding their own things (maybe set up a jedi academy, collect teachings+members, invent new paths, wage war on eachother (Sith vs Jedi, would be PvP) everyone could have a home moon as an instanced area to build up (same for everyone, or maybe a small choice of maps) you could go to other peoples' worlds. a galaxy has a near infinity of worlds so setting-wise it wouldn't be a problem.
