| Definately worth it. I actually played Redemption long before Bloodlines came out.
I'd still play it again after a long time. Yep, there's not a lot of role playing action but, the plot is very interesting, and instead of being a lowlife like you are in Bloodlines, your character in this game is very well defined and can become a real "badass".
It's interesting how you travel through the ages and you'll learn more about the dark ages and clans you probably haven't heard of such as the near-extinct Cappadocian clan. There's a lot to be learned about Vampire world with this game, and the weapons, disciplines, NPCs you meet, and places you visit make it worth it.
PS: In this game, get your manipulation really high and you can actually sell items for more than the value you bought them later in the game, hehehe. So you can really stock up.
Also, another bonus about this game is that you get to control a whole coterie of characters instead of just 1 character. So yep, you'll be an old-school Brujah (not the modern Brujah by any means) but you'll get to control several characters of other clans as well.
This game also displays a greater variety of weapons, armor, etc.
In my opinion a great pickup if you enjoyed Bloodlines. |
