I agree with this, they add a funky "groovy" feel to the place. The only one I don't care for is the green grin...even if the grin smilies used around here
do often have some kind of sick connotation behind them...
I'm also not sure about the "cool" smilie, it seems a little indistinct, but I don't think it's entirely bad either.
The rest, IMO, look great! Indeed, if the board could handle it, a few more along these lines would be nifty.
