| Titan quest Immortal Throne, for several reasons, I'll explain why I didn't choose the others first-
Bioshock: Not interested in first person shooters really.
Dragon Age: Looks spiffy, but not enough to go on to really consider 'anticipating'
ES 4- Shimmering Isles: No thank you, Oblivion was enough of a disappointment.
Fable 2: Same reasoning as above, Fable was a major disappointment.
Hellgate London: Looks spiffy, but some features I really don't like, for instance the guns.
Mass Effect: I despise most Sci Fi RPG's. KoToR 1 and 2 were great, but so far nothing else has really peaked my interest.
Silverfall: Got an imported copy, played it, didn't like it. Too much of the same ol' same ol' monster stuff, and the skill tree system is boring.
The Witcher: I haven't looked into it, it doesn't seem that appealing to me.
Two World: I also haven't looked into this.
Now, as for the reason I chose the expansion to Titan Quest, it's because of the fact that the original titan quest was satisfying and delivered EXACTLY what it said it would deliver. "Diablo Clone" understood, birds eye view hack and slash. "Has four major bosses, 3 of them dealing with the final, and the final being the toughest." Easy enough to get. Plus, the fact that they were so prompt with patching and bug issues being fixed was another reason. Not only did they fix many gameplay problems, but when they found out that their fans found some combination classes that make the gameplay incredibly easy, for once the game company listened.
Titan quest has shown outstanding reliability, I read about it in the previews, bought it, and whaddya know, the previews were right for once (Glares at bethesda). Plus, they weren't focusing mainly on the graphics. Sure, they wanted good enough graphics that it's clear enough to see and we have some nice eye candy once in a while, but that was not there main focus and the game turned out to be a really nicely done work of art.
I'm expecting good things from Immortal throne, and do note that when I say expecting, I don't mean "You had better do this Iron Lore" but rather "You've done such a good job already, I have no reason to doubt what you say and create." |
