| Before reinstalling, do you have any other new programs you have installed that are running in the background? Also, have you tried removing any spyware/adware on your pc?
If you do need to reinstall then you should be able to keep your saves by going into the program folder and copying the save folder to somewhere like my documents. Once you have reinstalled, just copy it back again.
