Yeah you're right, standing still prevents poisoning, but what difference does it make? The poison cloud does naught damage (unless playing in hell with -100 poison res or equaly lousy position.)
Still the same trick helps if you're caught in a blizzard (Mephisto or zakarum sharmans). If someone casts blizzard on you (not a real playing sorc) just stand still and wait, then you'll recive naught damage (and blizzard really hurt's in hell diff unless you have good cold res)
