| I just successfully killed my first fire drake using the following method:
I play as a Zaur with a Fighter/Rogue/Marauder/Trickster/Deathlord build. Awesome melee potential and the only school of magic with a learning bonus is Nether(though that's no reason not to learn a little of the rest of the schools).
Started out by casting Ward of Fire for protection, then using three charges of Summon Deathlord in a row(though two or one might have been good enough, I wanted to win) to create a diversion. While the drake was concentrating on trying to cook up the three ninja looking guys in front of it, I snuck around behind it, fired up Blade of Baal, and wailed away on it till it dropped. Dual Weapons, Inflict Wounds, Backstab and Blade of Baal meant that overall the fight only took around one minute, though it was probably overkill.
p.s. The experience reward was so impressive that I think I'll try looking into making the fire drake breeding grounds my new training location. If the gain is impressive enough I might just restart my character. I will admit that I'm playing a character that was very slightly tweaked in the editor a bit. I gave myself the Shuriken of Night after being cheated out of it due to being version 1.4. I then also gave my skills a boost to meet the requirements for Deathlord which I feel wasn't very well thought through. If I hadn't I'd have had to spend probably well over 10 million adv points.
