I don't see the problem why not give out some information. It's quite same if you give out some information before or after release, since to get more people to buy the game, developers must release at least some info & demo. Nowadays players are quite sceptic wether the game is good if they haven't had any info about it nor have ever played the demo...

Bethesda didn't purchase such an expensive license (seven digits) without having an idea what the fanbase wants, and without being Fallout fans themselves. That's very well said. I would wait some official info (screenshots, demo, etc) before I even consider to try to determine wether the game will be good or bad.
