MyBuild...lemme know what you think

I am going Soothsayer right now, or the Spirit/Nature route. I am hoping to be a summoner/almost melee. Only level 20 and looking for tips and/or pointers. Be gentle with me...noobishness here.

In spirit I have a point in:
Deathchill
Ravages of Time
Necrosis
For the aura effects while I try to melee.

I also have a point each in:
Life Drain
Cascade
With cascade it is a good opening shot for most creatures/mobs, health goes down from about 10% to 50% depending on the level/type of creature.

To finish of Spirit (so far)
6 or 7 points in Summon Lich King
1 point in Death Nova
1 point in Wraith Shell
Because it ain't no fun if my homies can't have none...

In Nature all I have is in the puppy skills.
8 or 9 (I think) in Call of the wild
1 point in Maul
1 point in Survival Instinct
Once again, the more the merrier.

Here is how I play, open up with the Life Drain, except them damn undeads, by this time my pets/homies/pahtnaz have closed with and engaged creatures. Run in behind them with the aura up and swing until everybody is dead, either us or them. As my Necrosis skill gives the creatures a -% vs bleed my puppies do decent, the Lich is pretty slick with the Death Nova if he gets mobbed.

As I am attempting to be a melee all my points are in strength and the gear I have, noobish gear, has exactly ZERO energy regen stats. I tried the Heart of the Oak, but as it sucks down mana over time I took it away as soon as I could. I know it would be a worthwhile skill, but until I get gear, the points go to the puppies or His Highness of the Undead. Besides, if we kill quick enough, we don't need extra health, and I need the mana to resummon my dead homies.

Here is what I am hoping to end up with, full on puppies, lich king, and my auras (deathchill, ravages of time, and Necrosis) which will help the puppies out, full on outsider (since it takes fewer points to max out vs nymph) and put the rest under the Heart of the Oak branch. Whatever in Heart of the Oak that would leave a point for each in the following skills.

Noobish questions:
Can I trade equipment with my other single player characters?
Are everyones puppies as psychotic as mine? Regardless of their health, or what creature they are fighting, they go Cujo on whatever the see, or think they see.

Thanks for any help/tips/info....
