Nothing too stellar lately, but this reminds me of an orgasm of time passed. There used to be a place in north Austin called Dot's Place that was run by this old lady, Mama Dot and she made the best food. Depending on where you are from it could be called soul food, home cooking, southern cooking but it was meatloaf, fried catfish, mac and cheese, chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, greens, that sort of thing.
Her meatloaf was soooo good that we would drive 45min to eat there (you have to be there by 11am or the line can be as long as an hour. It's the kind of place that is filled with truckers and cops and construction crews plus since it's austin a slew of techies. Everything was good, but you can't help but groan with every bite of the meatloaf.
