I mean c'mon, look at something like the Powerpuff Girls or the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Those may be popular for kids, but so much of that humor is more adult-oriented (I don't mean sexually, although sometimes it might be). The Smurfs can be for adults just as much as it can for kids.
