I am familiar with this problem. It occured when I was 'newbie' playing BG2 for the first time and completing it.
But with me it was reversed, visiting any area outside of Athkatla would crash it so it seems the problem that the game has is random.
No doubt a fresh install would clean things up but first look into any other suggestions that others users may have. |
