Wanna bet? We had two budgies, one was younger than the other, and the younger one was weaker too. As a result, he would let us take him out of the cage and pat him, the older one however would not. Two things there. In some South American tribes, they would kill a 3rd born child, since the mother and father could only carry one child each, and a 3rd would slow them down.
In China, due to extreme population, they are only allowed one child (I think they are allowing two if the first born is a female). Due to custom however, males have a huge role to play, especially in supporting the parents. As a result, they want male children, not female.
