| work your way to the guildmaster of the fighter guild. you gain money in 2 ways:
1) Whenever you encounter the Blackwood Company, they bound to have very nice equipment (range in a few hundred golds, especially the Orcish sets, each piece is worth close to 1k - but how much you could sell them depend on your merchentile skill), so kill them as usual, and after you're done clearing the dungeon, turn on god mode and back track, looting all the Blackwood guys. You need god mode to be able to carry all the weight. The final conflict with Blackwood will let you gain some nice Glass weapons.
of course, if you are offended by the idea of using god mode to haul the loot, you can try getting the Packmule spell or making loot-run tru and fro a few time, the bodies will stay for a while anyway.
2) You will earn some income through the fighter guild each month as a guild master. Just go to Oweyn to collect your money every month.
there are some nice monetary reward from the duties and contract of the guild while you are working on it.
Another way to gain money is to join the mage guild and get your magestaff, then fight in the arena. I've got a Lightning Magestaff with 2400 charges of lightning spell of 60 damage. Using the staff, I was waltzing through the ranks and beat the Gray Prince with 5 zaps. However you need to collect lots of soul gems to recharge your staff. I used up all the soul gems I saved up from the beginning of the game in the arena, and I occasionally used my glass long sword for easy opponents, just to save some souls (pun intended).  |
