Interesting point. I believe that first time round I did it all without looking at a walkthrough, although I don't think I worked out every optional puzzle correctly, and I never did figure out the code to get the lift working on Peragus (indeed, I've
never found out how you're supposed to realise that the numbers should be put in backwards...or
why they are backwards when you get them from one of the logs in the dormitories...
After the first time I just looked for the answers in a walkthrough. Anyway, the question is now moot, as I've long since memorised the answers to all the puzzles
