| Unless you are a magic user, in which case Bretons or Altmers are the way to go, I don't think it makes any difference which race you choose.
At least as far as being good at things goes anyway. I mean, a tiny little Bosmer can, eventually, be just as skilled with an axe as a big, hulking Nord. Race and 'class' only really effect things at the beginning.
IMO, race choice is more based on personal preference, aesthetics and role playing than anything else.
