Yes I skipped the 3 chest in the area at the start of the game. I should add them at some point. I'd have to double check but I think they are:
Behind the broken wall- weapons chest, no lock, gives short sword, Elvin sword, small mace, gnarled staff, etc
Shack 1- potion and gold, level 1 chest
Shack 2- potion, gold, scroll, lev 1 chest
I'll have to double check because I'm not sure of the levels of the chest in the shacks and I think one of the gives lock picks. D
