| I've tried to use heavy polearms with my valkyrie's. My suggestion is...forget it! They are way cumbersome and you can get better damage out of decent medium weapons. The big problem is that there is this big flourish that occurs when your character goes for big damage. It usually misses and it always takes forever for your character to finish the motion of the flourish and return to attack mode. In the meanwhile, your enemies can hack away while you're defenseless. So, in comparison. Heavy weapons of equal damage do much more actual damage and some smaller weapons of lesser stated damage do as much damage in the long run, and in both cases cause you to take less damage yourself. |
