| Eating is the obvious answer, I do remember one encounter I experienced homeless people or something to that effect. On a whim I found out I was able to give them each beef jerky and recieve experience points.
I don't remember experiencing that encounter again though, think it was in the top end of the map near Modoc or the Den.
