I like to have a character wear the vexing armor. Buff their fire resistence to 100% and then cast invisiblility on them. Stroll into a pack of cold users and detonate the armor's fire storm on top of themself. Great fun
The armor protects them from the radiating cold. The buffs/other items from the fire.
