I did miss dual wield..... Hi Decimate,
I did miss dual wield as I usually play an offensive based character and use strategy to keep me alive. I also missed using a bow because the archery skill in this game is broke. I also feel that this game is slanted to magic use as melee was at best only good in the beginning of the game(imho). I feel that when it takes 20 swings to hit a lone wolf that is just standing there it is an indication of something wrong in the game.
I developed my style of combat in Diablo 2 & LOD and it worked quite well with the three characters I played that were still standing at the end of the game. I played that game over two years straight especially when the new characters were introduced. I ended up finishing it as a Amazon, Barbarian and a Paladin. The Assassin was fun for a while but could not stand up to the up close and personal style of fighting that I like and all of my characters must be able to use the bow.
I will dual wield in DS II as I played the demo and dual wielding was a blast.
