Thanks, all. It's not too sweet hitting 54, but I can honestly tell you, based on personally experience, that it beats the alternative.
I'm here finishing up a brief trip in Boston. We'd purchased 2 tickets to one of the Boston Early Music Festival concerts about 4 months ago, and decided that if I checked (instead of carried) the bag and we were rather careful about what I ate, we could manage matters and still let me bend my food rules just a bit. Actually, it's surprising how much great stuff you can eat, if you know what you're doing. For example, given my worship of chocolate, my wife made a chocolate cheesecake with dark chocolate (much, much healthier than the milk variety) and lowfat/nofat cream cheese. It equals anything you can buy, and I've been giving myself secondrate but decent orgasms with it.
So DW, the lasagna may not be out of the question. Though I won't object to plenty of great classical CDs I prefer.
And the wine is definitely in. Fact is, I'm drinking more liquor, regularly, than I every have in my variegated life of vicious depravity. My cardiologist says any liquor is good for you, in moderation, and especially red wine. So now I drink a good glass of malbac or a cab someday most days.
Which means I can't win any sympathy votes from you by saying I'm munching on a twig and onion grass while sipping spring water, I suppose. Oh, well.
Anyway, thanks! Again!
