I'm using ver 1.3 and I've got 8 in Nether Magic. I can summon a fiend, no problem. Haven't tried Hate.
And while were ranting about spells, I have to agree with another post that Shrieking Star is useless. |
With 1.3 I got summon giant not working, in shadow boss area. But I also got it work, elsewhere I don't remember where, perhaps in outside area and yes it was a Troll. I make work Summon Deathlord, at least in tomb boss area and probably in Shadow boss area.
Shrieking Star isn't useless it's one of the more powerfull spell in fact. It's low price allow you to buy 100 or 200. With that and perhaps skill points on Arcane and Spelling it works very well on big groups, it stop most monster to attack during long time, it works on bosses, I don't remember any fully protected against pure magic attack unlike against fire or ice attack for example. And finally with that much spelling capacity you can easilly beat any boss and get rid of any peasky summoning.
